sleek_SC 05-20-2007, 08:25 PM just wondering all the different ideals out there with people sing sub wooferts, heres what mine looks like. I built the box and painted it all to match the best i could with the interior colors of my car. I ended up bondoing the box to hide all the screw and nail holes. Sub is a 06 Fosgate P.2 12 inch...pushed by a 250 watt fosgate Amp, hidden under the seat.
the last picture is what i built the first time, guess next time ill come up with something even coooler.
NOSkweezePSI 05-24-2007, 12:24 AM Here's mine. I'm sure some people are getting tired of looking at it.
chmiko 05-24-2007, 12:33 AM That my friend is one bad ass enclosure ...I've seen your E in previous posts
nice job
Working on mine as we speak.
I'm going for a more utilitarian approach to speaker enclosures
I'll post some pics soon...
MTFiji 05-24-2007, 08:00 AM My little lady took the digital camera to work today but I will post some pics of my setup when the camera gets in.... It's nothing fancy, but I like it and that's all that matters. :)

dancetiludrop 05-27-2007, 10:35 PM Skweeze - Always nice to see you're stuff..are you going to vegas?? Would love to see your ride in person there.
Silver! how big is that box??? That'll raddle your head!
wastedonanime 05-28-2007, 02:53 PM Well, I figured someone should post at least one picture of the JL Stealthbox (Sub Model: 10W3v3-4) for kicks. Works wonderfully with a 4 ohm 300 RMS monosub amplifier.
MTFiji 05-28-2007, 09:16 PM Here's a couple of pics of my setup, I know it's not fancy but I like it and it sounds real nice..... :D

Sorry, no Vegas for me. I've got a 3 month old now and it wouldnt be fair to the wife if I took off and left her alone. Maybe next time.
chmiko 05-30-2007, 03:57 PM So here it is... My new enclosure just finished and installed today!
The bottom half sits in the spare tire well and the top just blow the rear seat bottoms and is easily removable in case i really need the space.
Had to lose the spare donut and jack(also in involved cutting the bracket away) But in order to get the frequency response for this type of enclosure this was the easiest solution.
I know ill here it "i couldn't go without without my spare" ,but thats why i pay for road side assistance:wink:
Also i wanted to still be able to put my rear seats all the way back it makes them easier to put them up on there sides as you all know...
A more utilitarian approach to E-sub enclosure design imho
Cheers,

That is one sweet set up.... I have thought of just going with something like that, but I am trying to lose my hearing :D
Anyways.... Even if you wanted to, I know there is somewhere on this forum where somebody mounted the spare on the roof. That is another option....
Savage8778 06-03-2007, 10:38 PM I will have to get my lazy butt motivated to post some pictures of my sub/amp install. I did the same thing aside from mine is nearly flush with the floor (and will be once I get my router working again). Definitely some great work done here by fellow forumers, hopefully mine will maybe motivate or help someone. All the articles and what not helped me (and my friend/installing partner).

I just had to redo the surround, the thing's about 10 years old but still pounds. The third pic is of my quick release connections for my 12" Rockford.'
Oh and sorry for the mess in the back. That's just extra crap I had in there on the left side, it's not sub related.
bassplayer5504 09-05-2007, 07:57 AM I haven't installed my setup yet but it will be an Infinity Basslink II. It's low profile and has a self contained amp. That being said I scratched my old idea to go with the basslink. I was making a knockoff JL stealthbox to house a 10W6. It was to be fiberglassed and not carpeted. If anyone is interested in the skeleton of this project PM me. Everything looks great guys!
dancetiludrop 09-05-2007, 10:45 AM here's what I've got going on right now. Hopefully will have some type of fiberglass enclosure done this winter :D
kustomrydes 09-06-2007, 11:58 AM jpeaslee
how do you like your subs? I haven't heard anything bad about ED...
The Big "E"z 09-07-2007, 05:27 PM here is my 10" D3 Diamond Audio sub with custom made box tuned to 35Hz. The box is two-toned vinyl and suede that matches the interior. and has the diamond audio logo raised on the top.

jpeaslee 09-08-2007, 09:07 PM kustomrydes,
I pretty much love my subs. I had a 19ov.2 prior to the 12's and liked it a lot too. As you can see in my sig i'm also running their comps and amps. I'm thinking i'm a customer for life. If you have any other questions i'd be more than happy to answer.

dancetiludrop 09-10-2007, 11:09 PM Big T...how is it owning the kicker E now?? Hope you got it for a good price too!
Saw it in St. Louis for the meet last year but didn't really get to hear the system.
BigTzElement 09-11-2007, 03:10 AM Big T...how is it owning the kicker E now??
It is great....with the exception of needing more time to get places. If I stop for gas or food or anything people want to see it. :) But I love showing it off. :)
Saw it in St. Louis for the meet last year but didn't really get to hear the system.
I saw it for the first time in St. Louis as well. When it came up for sale I could not help but do everything I could to get it. And it all worked out.
BTW, I will probably be bringing both my E's to the National Meets now.
dancetiludrop 09-11-2007, 12:25 PM You know we're getting together on Oct. 20th for a mini meet at Turkey Run State Park. Isn't too far from Kansas for you to come on over :D
elementology 09-11-2007, 04:34 PM i did this a couple months back, its pretty nasty looking at the fiberglass enclosure... hence the suede mdf cover. i plan on adding a neon to make the smoked plexi window glow. don't hate, i know that my "E" is dirty... hehe
Element of Desolation 09-24-2007, 03:12 PM Here are a few pictures of my amps/sub set up. I hope you like them.
hey man you're set-up is sweet. I'm looking to add a sub to my ride, I'm a newb at the whole process. I've done some research and such, the only issue i am having is finding a way through the fireall to hook up my amp. IS there any diagrams online somewhere that show me how to get through. Once again i'm a newb and any help would be appreciated.

pacebria 09-24-2007, 04:22 PM Who did the install on the Kicker E?
Hondamade4dogs 09-24-2007, 05:15 PM Kicker did the install. They did right there in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Right off Perkins Road.:-P
BigTzElement 09-24-2007, 08:37 PM Who did the install on the Kicker E?
Yeah, What Hondamade4dogs said.
My E was the Kicker/Honda sponsored element. I purchased it from the designer/installer (Who works for Kicker) and is an EoC member.
BTW......The pictures do not due it justice. IMHO. :)

Hey Zack, I have a question for you on carpeting that amplifier so flush. And that's how did you get the carpet, or maybe it's the wood behind it? To sit so even with the side-ridges and shapes of that amplifier? Today, I'm actually seating an amplifier flush in my floor and need an idea on how to finish it off.

i cut it out of the wood after tracing the top of the amp out on it. then i took an extra little bit off to account for the thickness of the carpet. the bottom had to be routed out around where the rca and speakers and power go into the amp or it wouldnt push that far into it. i put some t-nuts in from the top lined up with the screw holes in the amps mounting feet cause i dont trust drywalls holding the amp into the MDF. i got the small #10 t-nuts from a local fastner supply with various lengths of screw so that they were ong enough but not too long and stuck thru the top when screwed in.
I like that set up. very nice.
Thanks.

Thanks. I managed to do about the same thing. The router was also necessary because of the RCA jacks and power wire inputs; after several failed test fits, I had to make a new plan and just use 2 seperate pieces of wood to surround the amp and then cut out the wire inputs and left it up to the fabric to make a flush top, which worked great - the router basically had to cut through the wood all the way for the inputs to fit at the level the amp was at... it made me angry, so I just cut out spots for the wires to travel - still looks flush. But I had to raise the level of my amplifier to make the appropriate volume in my sealed trunk box. Let me know what you think of it so far. Got a Discontinued 13lb 2,000watt Audiobahn solid aluminum piston woofer, and a modified "crunch" amp. Bought it cheap. Made it expensive, lots of work. 1100 pushing.

Serj22 11-06-2009, 04:56 PM Good looking setup.... to bad its not an element.
Same principal, it can be put into the same exact practice in the Element. The only difference is that I get to keep my spare tire because it's mounted to the back of the car. Every time I go see my dad and he sees the trunk, he always goes, "well, where do you put the spare then?"
I PUT IT BEHIND THAT TIRE-LOOKING THING MOUNTED TO THE BACK OF THE CAR!:060:
Leggo 11-08-2009, 08:24 AM I love that sub built into the side in the "trunk" Did you build that yourself or is that something that you can buy? I have been trying to come up with something that will add some more bass to the car, but not lose a bunch of cargo space or the spare tire. That looks like the perfect setup for me

That was custom made. My advice...make sure you use a lot of Dynamat behind the box and on the inside of the rear fender.

What are those silver tank things on top? :?
HellBent34 11-09-2009, 01:44 PM What are those silver tank things on top? :?
I believe they are speaker pods. Those are most commonly used on boats or any vehicle that will be exposed to the Elements...no pun intended.
frost600 11-11-2009, 06:03 PM Those are actually 6.5" speaker cans. Normally used for wakeboard towers on a boat actually. I noticed the kicker E has 2 as well. But yea they just hold a 6.5" speaker. Im running Polks in mine. They also swivel so you can face them towards the front of the E or out the back. I've had them for about 6 monthes now and I like them alot. Ill post a pic sometime with them facing the opposite way.

martinguyen 12-17-2010, 01:57 PM these picts are old and prob seen before. ive built four different enclosures for my E but only took picts of two of them. the other two just flew in and out pretty fast. wasnt too proud of the first two. but heres a couple of shots.

this is the second one i built. i wanted to look a little cool and utilize the trunk at the same time. thats why i put the plexi on top. the box was also ported towards the front of the vehicle.
