Here I am, looking like the most well-armed REI hiker ever.

Why do I see a woman called "me" and later a man also called "me"? Huh? Tell me Jack.
OK, thanks for editing and clearing this up. Looks like fun. I used to shoot a lot of black powder when I lived in New Mexico.

Cool...what .22 is that? Is that the actual finish on the barrel?

E-Art: April=black shirt/black hat. Jack=green shirt/blue hat. Gun's are mine, thus the "my" with pics of April.

Genom: That .22lr is the Marlin 795 autoloader (Link) (http://www.marlinfirearms.com/Firearms/SelfLoading/795.aspx). The barrel is the original finish, and it's quiet a nice plinker. I got it new for $120, and one can find this rifle at most sporting good stores.

Jus: A terrorist training camp? I don't see an AK in the pictures. :-P

Also, it's "al qaeda". Even if you typed in your botched misspelling into google, it would have given you a "Did you mean: al qaeda" message. 2 seconds worth of research could've added a pretense of being informed to that snide comment, and I'm surprised that an accountant would be so lax in details.

It's a public range in SoCal. I was shooting with a LEO friend of mine, his family, my friends, and my brother.

Was this at Burro Canyon? Since my friends and I aren't attending LC6 this year, we'll be at Burro Canyon Saturday!

Don't be too suprised. This is my retreat during the day from the crazy SAS's and FASB's and all the other structure of my long days. I just noticed there's a spell check when posting to the right. I'll definately make use of that.

Wish we had spaces like that out here for shooting. Granted we have the corn fields, but it's not the same.

Dial, that is Lytle Creek, and not Burro. The latter has become very strict about 30-rounders. Burro has canopies over the benches, while Lytle does not. Have fun this Sat., and be sure to take some pics of your E if you're taking it to Burro.

Jus, I'm sure it's easier to get a CCW where you're at than here in CA, though.
