Just bought my E last week and I love it, except for the
sub. My previous car was a Honda Del Sol and I had a
pair of 10" subs in the trunk so naturally I am used to
a little more punch than what is stock in the EX Element.
So my question is, has anybody tried using the factory
sub for mid-bass, and if you have do you have any tips

To me, a sub that is 6" is not really a sub. I mean, how can it be at that size?

So is it useful as a mid-bass driver? Maybe, but even with dual voice coils it's just one speaker - you'd have to make it mono so how useful could it be?

My feeling about this "sub" is like this...

Either be happy with the factory sound it as it is or replace it. :D

Thanks for the advice on the sub. I agree with you a 6"
speaker can't trully be called a sub because it bottoms out at lower frequencies. Thanks for all of your words and wisdom on this site :D
