Escort 8500 X50. Works decently - no complaints. Only thing which does kind of suck which makes me wonder if I should have purchased the valentine one is that it gives no indication of where the signal is coming from. Since I bought it 3 years ago I have not recieved one ticket. Only time I got pulled over after purchasing was 2 a.m. on a Sunday night leaving the pub and the cop was not using a gun - "paced" me instead. Tried to get me on a DWI but ended up with nothing and a dismissed summons. : )~

Hmm... this one time I was driving with my ex-girlfriend with the music on very low but still had the detector on max volume. The "Laser" warning came on (sudden very loud high pitched noise) - she jumped in her seat and ended up hitting her head fairly hard on the celing of my Volvo 850 (she was fairly tall at 6'1").

I find that driving at a reasonable speed, and sober, works for me. Then again I'm kind of old fashioned that way.

This is why you will never see my E anywhere in or near Virginia.

I had a valentine one, until it was taken by the cops in MD, as I left it on and like a dummy left it sitting on my dash when I got pulled over in my explorer. Now the MD police have my valentine one, but it worked great and I plan on getting another one.

Valentine 1. Well worth the money and must have saved my license several times.
