according to alex's performance list. the Ex wheels weigh 18lbs. but i didn't know they were alloy. i have an 06 ex and they are aluminium.

The EX wheels are aluminum alloy. But then I guess the LX wheels are steel alloy.

I just put my extra bare 2006 EX wheel on the bathroom scale, 18 lbs is about right.

Thanks.
So when TireRack say "super light" for a 22lb wheel they're being a little economical with the truth :-)

FYI I just put a stock EX wheel and tire on my scales - the combo comes in at 44lbs exactly.

So now we know :-)

From what I have always been told and what I personally believe. A wheel should be 1lb per inch, plus or minus 1-2lbs. So a "lightweight" 18" rim would weigh about 20lbs each, a lightweight 17" rim would be about 15-19lbs and so forth.
