After have my E washed yesterday I decided to go out at 5:00 this morning and start waxing it and here it is 6:40 Am and I am done!!!! I could not sleep anyways and the temp here today was suppose to reach almost 100, So I figured I may as well get it done,,, So much for sleeping in on Saturday!!! Maybe tomorrow, Have a good day all, Dave
bh241 07-07-2007, 08:11 AM And here all this time I thought I had it bad...
Congratulations on being properly motivated on a Saturday morning.
It's probably a good thing that you did beat the hight temps.
Don't care what the humidity is, when the temp is three digits it's hot.
Elminitdave 07-07-2007, 08:29 AM Thanks bh,,, And to me,, If the temp is over 68 it is too hot for me!!! lololololol Dave
grantwh 07-07-2007, 08:37 AM We drive a toaster shaped automobile.
We obsess on waxing an automobile of which the majority of the surface is plastic paneling (mine is at least) usually with expensive product (I use Zaino) . I haven't wash my car in 2 months due to drought enforced conservation. It is killing me.
We are on the forum first thing in the morning.
Yes, you all have it bad but you are not alone.
lizzurd 07-07-2007, 08:39 AM I would rather see someone out at 5 in the morning waxing their car than what i had to put up with this morning............one of my neighbours started cutting boards for his deck at 6:30........
NighthawkStella 07-07-2007, 09:56 AM Dave, you should have given me a call...my interior needs a good cleaning! On Thursday I had her front windows tinted and had an outer detail done, so you'd be off the hook with the exterior!
mid"E" 07-07-2007, 10:30 AM Argh, sometimes i hate those early Saturday morning DIY's,cutting their grass, working on their snowmobiles, home projects etc..Saturday is the sleep-in day.In your case it's completely acceptable as washing the E is a fairly silent activity and it feels good too.Good job and i congratulate you on your ability to rise with the birdies and take advantage of a nice weekend morning.:)

Ummm.... I think I'd be a little embarrassed to tell that story!
Let's try it a different way:
"I had my E washed yesterday before the party. When I got there everyone commented on how great my car looked- especially all the beautiful women. The last beautiful woman left about 5:00 AM this morning, just as the last bottle of champagne was finished off and as I staggered outside to kiss her goodbye, I noticed that in the rays of the early morning sunrise, the E could really use a coat of wax so I decided to give it a coat before finally crawling into bed. I'll have to admit I was pretty drunk when I started, but I had mostly sobered up by the time I got finished. I'm off to a well-deserved 12 hours of sleep now at 6:40 AM, but before I go I do need to ask this: Does anybody know how to get wax off of glass and tires? Night all!"
Now *THAT* makes a much better story than "I woke up at 5:00 AM on Saturday to wax my E!"

Now that im almost married and have a kid on the way sleep in days are almost non existant. Most saturdays when we are off we are up and out of the house and get all the shopping done and back home by noon.
lizzurd 07-07-2007, 10:45 AM To keep this thread from going right off topic.....where are the pics of your freshly washed and waxed E?
To quote a saying i picked up on years ago.......
"This Thread Is Useless Without Pictures"
