: I bought WHAT!!!! Happy new SC owner
wscruiser 07-15-2007, 10:18 AM I can't believe I just bought a Honda Element.
The first time I ever saw one, I thought they were the butt ugliest thing I had ever laid my eyes on. But this year when the SC came out, my opinion changed quickly. Over the last year, the looks of the SC has really grown on me.
My wife and I had been talking about trading my Kia Sorento in for a mini-van to haul the grand kids around. But, after looking at several mini-vans, I just didn't see anything that said "take me home". I just happened to stop by the Honda dealership to look at a van that was in the showroom, when a voice inside my head said; "Look at the Element SC". So, to make a long story short, I drove it and it spoke to me. Yes, I took it home!!!
I look forward to being a part of the community here, and learning all about the Element. Just remember, I'm an old grandpa so play nice with me.
Now, I gotta go take the grandson to Wally-World.
Farther 07-15-2007, 10:30 AM Welcome aboard grandpa. You aren't the only grandpa on the forum nor the only retired firefighter.:D

Haha...I said the same thing when I read it..."A KIA"?? The SC is "HOT" compared to any minivan! Congrats on new ride!!
jcasaccio 07-15-2007, 11:41 PM I just got my 07 SC in black and love it! The SC looks a lot more slick than the other Element models. Gotta love them. Congrats. Enjoy!

bh241 07-17-2007, 10:54 AM Hey another NC guy! Welcome to the 'cult'!
I have to admit, the very first time the wife and I ever say and Element, we both said it was ugly...
Good thing first impressions aren't always correct... :)
poopy123 07-18-2007, 12:21 AM They hit my demograghic spot on , but now my 67 year old father is also curious- I had a 2003 Civic Si , and to be honest that thing was a bit of a pig... I had buyers remorse for about 15 minutes on the way home... but after running 3 hours of errands I forgot I was even in the Element - pulled into my condo parking lot, made the tight turn into my space - got my groceries out and thought I was was in the pig!, but turns out it was a great looking SC... I was so sold at that point...
No regrets at all.... got a great deal and financing - and am still dicovering all of the added Accesories that I actually paid extra for on my SI...
:D
The Rube 07-18-2007, 06:03 AM I can't believe I just bought a Honda Element.

Hey Mayberry-e!
You weren't in Shelby the other day were you? I saw and waved at (and they waved back too) an 06 ASM. I haven't seen an ASM around Shelby (other than mine).
inkspotman 07-18-2007, 10:56 AM I too just purchased an SC a few weeks ago. My wife and I also thought, at one time, that the Element was ugly, but after a real close look and a test drive we were sold. In my 48 years, out of all the many rides I have owned, this is by far my favorite yet. Life even seems better when you own an Element.
Twilightzero 07-18-2007, 11:12 AM I seem to be different than most in that I knew I wanted an Element as soon as the press release hit the net. Being a dog owner/hauler and also a drummer and part time construction guy, I couldn't believe nobody thought of this sooner! :D Honestly I couldn't give a rat's a$$ how it looks as long as it functions how I want it to!
Hab Mobile 07-18-2007, 11:24 AM Welcome to EOC.

I am with you there though, I was interested from day 1.
HOTBOX1208 07-21-2007, 01:15 AM "Grandpa,"
In your case the SC stands for "SO COOL!" I think you should get that as a personalized license plate.:D Welcome to the club.
LaurieANN 09-11-2007, 09:50 PM I had a similar experience. Looking forward to the Element community.
