Has anyone tried this liquid polish on the plastic panels? I tried a small trim piece and it looked nice and black. Anyone else?
Thanks

Yes, I've been using it on my panels and they look fine. I had good success with Back to Black, and .303 but wanted something to do the whole vehicle. So far I'm satisfied with Turtle Ice.

Just got through using it on my '03 SSM. The results were incredible. Since I teach, I always spend each summer detailing each of our vehicles. This is the first time my wife and my father-in-law have commented about the depth of shine for any wax I've used. I used Zaino on the wife's white Odyssey, Meguiar's TECH wax on the Element and daughter's Magnesium Civic, but have never gotten the degree of shine as I got with ICE. Since I used the same thing on both panels and metal, it was so much easier to wax the E! I'm really impressed with this stuff. I read about it in an earlier post here and want to thank people for telling me about it.

As a matter of fact, I just finished waxing my MINI Cooper this afternoon with Trutle Wax Ice. I applied it to all of the black plastic trim and sure enough, it doesn't leave any white residue. It actually makes the black color a little deep. So far, I like what I see in the product. I quess time will tell.

I tried it on my outside paint and had good results. Easy to buff off even it you leave it on awhile.

What I think is the best use though was to do all the inside vinyl. I gives a deep, wet look but isn't oily like Armorall. Smells better also.

Does it streak like back to black or 303 after in rains?

No. That's another positive for Turtle Ice. I now have gone through 3 or 4 rainstorms and it does not streak. I have also done the inside plastic in the E with good results. It's really nice to find one product I can use on everything!

I'll trade you a picture of a Turtle Wax Ice "Before and After" for a Picture of either a Dashmat or Coverking dashboard cover.

My first wax, I tried a few carnuba waxes and the liquid magic on small areas on the roof and the ICE everywhere else. Both the waxes on the top left small white stains on the plastic, so the next week I washed and ICEd over the experimental portions and it pretty much took away the white stains without buffing or clay bar! I was pretty surprised.

On the 6th day I had the car, I noticed a small scuff on the front right plastic fender. I was pretty mad, but bought the turtle wax ICE clay bar and followed the directions. The scratch was still there, as it only scuffed the outer layer of clear coat. I then put three layers of ICE polish over it in a row and could still see it a little. I was ready to return the products that weekend, but a week later I washed and waxed the car again and I noticed that the scuff was completely gone. I'm not sure if the ICE needed to sit in the sun to fill the small grooves of the scratch, but I can't find it anymore. I'm not saying this is a miracle product, but it surprised me that I could take our small damages to the finish with an over the shelf product, then again, the polish is $18.99 here in Hawaii ($14.99 on sale) so it better do something better than a $5 wax!

So now I use Rain-X on the glass, ICE polish, ICE car wash and if I get any more scuffs, I'll use the ICE clay bar. If anything, the only negative comment I would make is the wash. If I slack a bit on the rinse, it leaves pretty obvious white water stains. I haven't noticed that with the coral blue wash I used the first two times to wash the car. oh well, the ICE wash is from costco and there is like a gallon of it.

Based on what I read on these pages, I tried Ice also - it worked very well on both painted surfaces and black panels. Exactly as advertised, long lasting and very easy to buff up to a great shine. And a little goes a long way.

It worked so well that I put some on my old Dodge Stratus, which looked like crap from a poorly applied wax finish (courtesy of, well, never mind - but it wasn't my work). The streaks and white residue all disappeared and the car looked like new (which is saying something since it is ten years old).

It's been over a week now and the shine is still holding strong. Unfortunately I do not have access to a camera so I couldn't take pictures like I thought.

I just used the liquid wax with the applicator and cloth. I used a little too much at first, I never used a liquid wax (or any wax for that matter) and it covered the entire car pretty easily. I put a little bit on the plastic rails on the roof and it made the gray stand out more. I don't know if I'd do the whole car though, I'm paranoid about making it look terrible overall.

The $15 seems steep but I couldn't even tell I used any of the wax. The bottle has a pin hole opening to limit the amount coming out at one time, so you don't just dump a lot out on accident.

Definitely worth it, in my opinion. It's nice to walk out side and see the H and Element badges shining brightly.:-D

I used the ICE this weekend, pic's are posted in the IMAGE THREAD, was a little sceptical about doing the plastic panels, so I didn't do them. But where I did get it on the panels, it did not turn white and it did clean it a little. I use the same product I use on my tires on the panels.

After using Turtle wax ICE paste I ended having swirl marks( not from scratching) It looks like there is still wax left on the lighter grey plastic on my '03. Any idea why it looks this way? I wiped it down several times. Other than that it gave a very deep shine and made all my plastic pieces look new.

I guess I will have to try this stuff. It is time to give the Elements a good detailing. We have been using the automatic car wash due to the drought here in GA.

I really, really like the stuff. The only part of the line I haven't used is the clay, but my paint's not that old yet :)

wilco, while your paint is fairly new,it still can benefit from the use of a clay bar.Try it next time you decide to wax/polish your E,I think you'll be quite surprised at the amount of contaminates that were on your E's finish.:)

remember the all day job it took to paste wax a 74, four door, ford torino. acres of metal and dry old paste wax that really needed rubbed in.

now we have liquid ice wax that doesn't seem to take much work at all !

After this thread, I was like alright I'm stepping up to the plate and went out and got a bottle.

I'm impressed with it. Nice shine, wet looking but not cara wax smooth.
