I'll be heading over to "the canyon" for the perseids meteor showers. Any E's like to come along, your more than welcome. It's about 20 miles out of Ephrata, from Bothell 175 miles over hwy. 2 and 200 miles over 90, about 3 hours.

The property is pretty remote, I do have a trailer trailer out there but until I get a generator no a/c. There is a club house about 2-3 miles away that has showers and a pool.

Jane, find Nowhere and take a left.
:-D
Amy's place is pretty close to that.

I can vouch for eastern WA being a fabulous place to star gaze, tho. Lots of areas where you can see no artificial lighting at all.
It's really cool to see your shadow made by the light of a full moon.

Timing really bites!! I'm driving back from Coeur d'Alene on Friday and need to get home!! Argh! Otherwise (and if I had all my camping schtuff) it would have been perfect!

Yep .. pretty much in the middle of nowhere. LOL

It's in eastern Washington about 20 miles east of Ephrata in the Moses Coulee canyon.

Junebug ... if you want to stop by Friday night I've got extra tent and sleeping bags. The best time to see the showers is between 2 - 4 am ... you could get a early start Sat. morning.

I so wish it made sense for me ... how odd I'm already partway there. But I've got someone riding with me and we need to get back. DANGIT!

We had a blast !! Harley did his best to find snakes .. but luckily he didn't find any. The showers where fun, but didn't see as many as I was hoping. I couldn't get anyone to wake up early ... I think they all stayed up to late. LOL

Here is a picture of papa's camp at sunrise.
