Hello all...

I've been lurking for a month, deciding whether or not an "E" was for me. Well...I bought a 2007 TM LX FWD AT.

I already outfitted it with HPD Wheel - Spinout (Black/Diamond Cut):

and 255/35 Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas:

I also installed the OEM roof rack, side steps, fogs, and had the front windows tinted.

Anywho...enough with intros...

My problem is that I replaced the craptastic head unit (with something that will be discarded after the weekend), and now the keyless entry doesn't work.

Help...please

Update...

All of the fuses in the engine compartment and under the dash are good.

Also, the dome light doesn't work when the door is opened, but turns on when the ignition is in the ACC position. Could the keyless entry issue be related?

Thanks for reading and hopefully helping.

Damn...me thinks this is in the wrong sub-forum.

With a screen name like ForcedEntry you're worried about keyless???

Just kidding.

I'm really going out on a limb here (and I'm sure someone with more experience can and will correct me), but this sounds like what Honda was doing with 1997 Civics. They put the keyless entry and dome light controls inside the factory HU...some convoluted logic to deter theft or changing out of the factory HU for some reason.

I hope this isn't the issue with the 2007's.

Nice choice of wheels.:)

You're in the right forum, this is an electronics issue. I will delete your other post for you.

Thanks.

When I first noticed it, I replaced the factory HU.

Is there another fuse panel? In a different thread someone referred to behind the glove box??

I'm probably going to have to buy the 2007 manual...screw that...bumper to bumper. It's going to the doctors!

The only other fuse box is under the hood in the engine compartment (which you have found). There are several relays behind the glove compartment which control things like the rear power outlet and such.

Grrrrrr...I hate when I **** up.

I rechecked the engine compartment fuses...10A was blown. I replaced it and all is well.

Hey at least it was something easy and it allowed you to avoid a trip to the dealer.

True enough.

Now I need to find the easiest route for my 4 AWG from the battery to the back. I would really prefer to NOT drill holes.
