My temporary GPS soultion until I can save up enough for the Alpine NAV-200 package!
The base is a non-slip "beanbag" thing... it works to keep the unit on the dash without any permanent installation!

I have the same GPS unit and love it. I keep mine above the AC area however, and swivel it towards me. When I park I move it to the passenger side floor to deter theft.
Actually we consider the GPS a "she" and call her Nova. We recently moved to CA from GA and she has been a fantastic aid in learning our new town. I don't know how I've driven the past 36 years without a GPS!
We like the mobility of the Garmin as hubby borrows her occasionally. Even if I don't need navigation to a particular point I like the feature of seeing the approaching street name as well as the view for my current speed (without having to look at the car's console). Plus I'm always looking for shopping in this area and she's a great help getting me to the right place.

I just rode in my brother's Audi and having never sat in a car with GPS address to address voice navigation system I was blown away by the accuracy of these things. Now I definetely need to get one considering the amount of times I got lost!
Can someone please post a picture of the speaker for the Garmin? Also how does the voice command sound in the Element? Is it possible to hook up the audio out to the aux jack?
