Has anyone had any experience with this brand of hitch?

I don't have one but i have seen some bad luck with them. One member on here had one and was rear ended....the whole rear section of floor had to be replaced. The drawtite bolts to the spare tire pan. Better to go with a frame mounted hitch such as reese , valley or hidden hitch. Draw tite may be $30 cheaper than others...but for me the extra money spent is well worth it.

When rear ended, any hitch is going to transfer damage to the mounting points. Replacing the frame rails isn't going to be any easier than replacing the spare tire well.

But, given that the Element has perfectly good frame rails with holes for mounting a hitch, it makes little sense to use a hitch design that requires adding holes to the spare well. That hitch is just a carry over from 1st generation CRVs.

Ya, drilling holes in the body didn't really strike me as a great thing to do...
