Blown Fuse - HELP!!!
I did something really stupid and am hoping there is a way out.
I am installing a radar detector. For a 12V supply, I tapped into one of the interior fuses (#2) inside the drivers dashboard lower cover.
I forgot to take the negative terminal off the battery and when I was fooling around getting the fuse tap situated, I hit the hot wire to ground (chassy). Yes, there were a few sparks but I pulled it off pretty quick.
Needless to say, there is not 12V coming from the #2 fuse now. The fuse is not blown. Now, my fog lights don't work, either. It appears that a fuse was blown (a fuse to protect a fuse?).
Any suggestions as to how to recover this most unfortunate mishap will be greatly appreciated
Thanks for the help,
Jim
