Finally ordered our Element on Monday evening. New 4wd GG expected delivery in 3 - 4 weeks. Ordered from Brantford, although we live in London, as salesman is a family friend. I think we'll pass on the rustproofing / paint protection, but looking for opinions on taking the extended warranty.

They did not offer me the rust and paint protection - I made it clear I am in Sales. They said to me it wasn't really necessary. I did take the extended warranty however. It's a new vehicle in it's first year of production.

I intend to Krown my Element anyways, despite being in Sales. ;-)

Thanks for the suggestion. I have been unsure about the extended warranty. The way I saw it, it is a Honda, meaning that the quality should be there for the long run, and any design flaws in a brand new vehicle, should come to light in the first three years. They did say that they would throw in roadside assistance, however, and now I'm starting to lean towards taking it.
