Just picked up our new Element from the dealer ( :D ) and noticed that the road noise is more pronouned than we remember from the test drive. Has anyone had the undercoating/soundproofing applied by the dealer, and does it make a big difference?

I'd like to reduce the road noise a bit, too. On my "to do" list is to apply a bunch of Dynamat to my Element.

Most of your road noise is coming from the awful Goodyear Wrangler tires that come on the vehicle. Take it right now to a tire dealer and get them changed for a quieter tire. I didn't realize this until I had too much mileage to get a good trade in allowance on the Wranglers. A lot of dealers will give you good trade in allowance if the tires only have less than 500 miles.

It's kind of expensive, which is why it's on my "to do" list and not on my Element today. I may end up using one of the Dynamat competitors actually.
