Hi all -

I bought my first Element today! 2008 Tangerine EX 4WD. I'm so excited. Six hours at the dealer has made me quite tired otherwise I'd be driving it around right now.

I'm looking for pointers on where I can find cool stuff to pimp it out. I found a few on this website already but I'm sure there are more out there.

Specifically, I'd like to get an interior bike rack that isn't the Honda one. I don't like the idea of drilling holes in the floor to mount it especially since I'm sure the inside of the car will be wet since I live in the NW.

No pics of it yet, it was dark when we got home. My husband and I will be fighting over who gets to drive it. :)

Yeah, I don't know what the heck is up with the "BOB" on the license plate. It isn't the name of the dealership but I do like the acronym proposed.

When I was in the process of working out the deal a woman came in and wanted this specific Element because she wanted the color and there weren't any more in the Seattle area. Apparently she threw an absolute fit, made a big scene and drove away. She was the source of humor for the entire sales force for the rest of the day.

Welcome and congrats on your choice of vehicle! :) Even though I too have recently joined, I have received invaluable information from the EOC postings and threads over the last couple of years. I was able to avoid quite a few mistakes that I would have otherwise made with my E. I don't think I've ever come across a more helpful group of individuals. You are truly in 'good hands!'

Nice E pics, so who is the Ironman?

I've done two Ironmans, Lake Placid in '05 and Canada in '06. I've got Coeur d'Alene on my schedule for next year. The Element is really a swanky travel case for my carbon fiber race bike :)

Renton treated me very well with price. I didn't like the experience because I generally get sick of being sold to after several hours but I don't think I'd like the experience anywhere.

Ah - your bike is much more serious than mine - I have a Trek hybrid that's great for bike path and mild off-road riding. So mine just gets shoved into the back with the seats folded up. No rack or stand.

Exceptionally wise choice of color, I must say.
