Picked it up friday....and logged 500 miles already.
I love this machine!
2004 Sunset Orange Pearl EX
5 Spd Manual
Hopefully some fun mods soon enough. I'll keep you posted.
Here are some pics from today. She's a bit dirty because we were playing in the sand.
A quick thanks to the guys who've posted some of the technical stuff-
....I was upset when I heard the horrific grinding noises coming from the rear when I first put her in the sand over the weekend. A quick fluid change did the trick. Thanks again!
Also..Anyone ever hear of the bushings holding the rear diff wearing out? I have this clunking noise going on and when I put the E on the lift I noticed that the rear can and will move a half inch in each direction. This is causing a clunk when I hit bumps. The dealer promised to fix it under warranty...so I'm not worried... but is this something anyone else out there has experienced?

Best of luck with it. Where on the island are you? My son is still in S.I. I lived there many years ago. Keep an eye out for our mini meets.

I have seen the diff mounts wear out on older CRV's but this is the first E i have heard about it happening to.

Welcome. Due to your choice in color of your E, You are now one of the EOC elites. Don't let anyone else here tell you the SOPs are not the special elite part of the EOC, they are just jealous. :D

Also have them check the rear shocks as they will cause a clunk over bumps whe they wear out. Its great to find another SOP E with a manual. Hard to find. Also what's with the sign, Beach closed??

This was taken the Friday after labor day at a family members beach house. With no lifeguards on duty the city parks dept. officially closes the beaches....however...it means nothing. I'll still go swimming until I'm numb from the cold.

Hello Everyone,
I'm new to this forum, but I just bought a 2005 Element EX AWD. I am very excited on adding accessories to it, but was not sure what I should do first to make it stand out more. Anyone got any first idea's on what I should do first. I love the sound system that was already added when I bought it along with the XM radio and boom box.
Here are some pics:
