Just came back from a 300 mile non stop trip LA to SF where it was 80+ degrees outside. Decided to open up my hood to check oil etc. IT was wierd, its as if the engine was cooler than the outside temperature-ok not quire-but it I was able to touch and hold my hand to the radiator cap as long as I wanted. THe cylidner head cover was a bit warmer, but it also was a LOT cooler than any car I have ever driven for such an extended period of time in warm weather.
