Hi everyone!
I've been researching getting a new car, since my 94 minivan keeps crapping out on me with just 193,000 miles on it. I decided on an Element, I just loved everything about it, I'm a big camper and plan to get a kayak real soon.
I read the EOC forums and you guys really sold me on the "E"! Finding a used Element was difficult, I even visited one dealer and he said he had one but it was already out on test drive-just missed it! I pushed onward, and I am now the very proud owner of a 03 AWD, "E" and I couldn't be happier! I can't wait to start accessorizing it! I bought it today, and tomorrow I'll drive out to the local state park and really break it in --gotta get the dog used to it too!

Your E looks great! Welcome to the EOC.

Your E looks nice. I would not worry about the dog. My baby just loved it from the first time we went for a drive to a local state park. Good luck!

Had a great time - it was more than I could ask for and Big Tank just loved it!

What Texas State Park did you visit ?

do you have a State Park Pass ?? if not get one...they are $60.00 and good for a year...

I currently don't have a pass - I've been doing alot of camping out of state or cabins in private campgrounds, but now that I have the E, I am planning on a lot more local outings -especially since I can easily take the bikes and am going to get a kayak.
I went to Brazos Bend - great for biking - not for kayaking - will have to kayak closer to home, or find a better state park for that activity.

Triathlon practice day (yesterday) with my dog Jett in our newly acquired '04. Trek hybrid bike fits fine without removing wheels. My road bike fits even easier. So.......do I call it a truck or a car?

I think you will find if you take care of your E that it should last well beyond what your minivan did.

I expect to see at least 300k from both of my Elements. They are Hondas after all. :)

Anyway try the search function on the boards if you have any questions as I think just about every question has been asked at least once already. :)

I can't begin to tell you how much fun I'm having with my E! and even without my E. I was on an early morning jogging run today and saw an Element drive by - I gave the driver a big wave as she passed by - She probably thought I was crazy but I couldn't help myself.
At lessons tonight one of my 12yr old students saw my new ride and screamed "THATS MY DREAM CAR!" "MY FAVORITE COLOR AND EVERYTHING!" Funny how I never got that reaction out my old minivan....?
