Please do NOT post anything in the Events & Meet Announcements forum unless it is to make an ANNOUNCEMENT about an upcoming event. This forum got so clogged up with superfluous content that it needed to be cleaned out.

If you are looking to hold a local event then post that event in your Regional Forum. If are looking to draw people from more than one Regional Forum then post your event in here.

If anyone has any questions as to where to post something then contact either one of the Admins (T Mac or spdrcr5) or one of the Mods.

Personally I think you are wrong in deleting the messages. While I understand you are a moderator and you need to keep some sort of order to the forum I fee that this action this morning is over the top.

The forum's description reads:
Want to announce a gathering of Element owners in your area, or even announce some event that others might find useful? Well...get to it! This is the place to ANNOUNCE a meet.Now it's just for non-regional stuff? :-x

The least you could have done is to move the posts to their respective 'regional' forums.

I still say, this was uncalled for.

I moved every single thread to their proper forum. The only things that were deleted were things that should have been deleted a long time ago. Not a single post was removed that shouldn't have been removed.

They are open to everyone, but not everyone can exactly get to Hawaii for example for an event.

If that's the case, then I apologize. Maybe the forums just need to be re-indexed or something because I didn't see them there.

This category is a place to ANNOUNCE your meet - even if it's a regional/local meet. If you have information about the meet, place it here. If you have a thread in a regional category that further discusses details of the meet - place a link to it here as well.

This is NOT the category where you should kick around an idea for a regional meet. That's what the regional categories are for - that along with just regular old chat about stuff in your area.

I will use this category to look for valid, scheduled meets to add to our EOC Events calendar.
