Excellent link. I have seen information printed about this before in the Toronto Satr, but this is the first time I have seen graphics that help explain how to set the mirrors up properly.

Thanks!

I've been doing this for over 20 years now. What I can't believe is that this isn't taught in drivers education classes. Everytime I get into someone else's car and see that they have the sideview mirrors set to be rearview mirrors I just shake my head.

When you first set this up, it will be a little unnerving because you won't see cars behind you when you look out the sides. But when cars pass you and you see firsthand how they go from rearview to sideveiw to peripheral vision without losing sight of them, you'll be sold.

I like car talk too. Mostly to hear about problems with other cars. Some of the stories and answers they give on that program are uncanny. NPR just has great programming in general.

Thanks for the mirror tip. I've had my Element a whole 2 days, and setting the mirrors has been my biggest concern. Car Talk is great. This site is great as well. It helped me decide on the Element and now I'm pretty sure it's going to help me decide to spend money on some of the accessories I didn't get. :)
