I've mangeed to get roofing tar on the rear seats (long story).

I tried orange degreaser - worked a little.

I'm hesitant to try harder things because fo the DWR finish. It is an 03 dx, so it may not have that finish on the rear seats.

any suggestions?

If you can get it cold enough you can take a butter knife and scrape of the top layer. Then take a non-acetone fingernail polish remover for the rest of it. I owned a Detail Shop in Beverly Hills for about seven years.

When all else fails...
'Goof Off'
if that doesn't work, and you still have an oily residue, use spray 'Brake Cleaner'.
Just remember to use them sparingly, wiping often with a clean cotton cloth...
Good luck (I hate roofing tar - for the same reason...)
