: 2007 Jeep Commander sleeps next to the E
AlumEnt 09-29-2007, 10:54 PM Bought a Jeep today, Got rid of the mini van. Looked at crossovers first like the mazda cx-9 looking for a seven passenger for the wife. Then Looked at the Pilot and then back to the Odyssey. And somehow ended up at the Jeep dealership for a real SUV.
They look nice next to each other Hopefully they'll play nice while I'm not watching.
Maybe now I should have another look at that Jeep grille for the E
Tim Vance 09-29-2007, 11:23 PM I think you should put an E grill on the Jeep....
and maybe some plastic fenders.... :D
AlumEnt 09-30-2007, 01:58 PM Better pic though they are still dirty

Looks nice with the Element, keep us up to date on how it performs, etc.
And.........NO, no "jeep grill" on the Element.

Don't do it! The E is beautiful just the way she is!

This one is from the hospital window the day our son was born.

Nice !.......................separation anxiety?
soldierguy 10-02-2007, 06:51 PM Nice Jeep. I traded an 05 Grand Cherokee Limited (hemi, 4X4, power EVERYTHING, DVD...pretty well loaded) to get my Element. I liked the Jeep...smooth, powerful, and just a nice vehicle, but I wanted to refocus some parts of my life in a different direction, and as part of the I realized that as nice as the Jeep was, it was just too much vehicle for what I need. My E suits my needs perfectly witout going "over the top" on capability and features.
If you're looking for some Jeep forums, give jeepforum.com a try, or jeepsunlimited.com. Generally speaking the people are not as friendly on those sites as the people here, but they are really good sources of info.
Flobox 10-04-2007, 02:16 AM I've got a real soft spot for Jeeps. Dad taught me to drive in an XJ Cherokee, and he drove Jeeps for almost 16 years. It's funny to think that back in the 80's, we were a bit odd having an SUV instead of a regular car!
Then I had a beautiful yellow Wrangler for entirely too short a time period until it became clear that a rear-facing carseat wouldn't fit, and as po' newlyweds, we couldn't afford two cars.

I've joined jeepcommander.com, I'll check out jeepforum and jeepsunlimited. Thanks!

I feel ya. I had an '01 Wrangler for like 9 months, just threw out all the old bikini tops for it last week. I kept thinking "what if I buy another one?" Then I supercharged the E and figured that means i have to keep it a while.
BoxDatRox 10-08-2007, 11:00 AM Good luck with the Commander! I just traded in my Grand Cherokee Overland 4.7HO - fully loaded (no nav) for my E. I was a member of Jeepsunlimited and found lots of info on there.
Funny because when I was at the dealership in the negotiation part they were trying to tell me that I will be getting better gas milage blaa blaa blaa, I said yes but I am giving up heated leather seats, moonroof, big 8 cylinder that can tow a house, etc - for washable interior. Not putting down the E, just dont put down the Jeep either.

You bet - I've owned both a Wrangler and a Cherokee, and I had no problem with either one............
