Hello all. I thought I would pass along this information in hope that it would help you.

I had subscribed to the XM service for $77 dollars a year ago and have been pretty pleased with it over all. My subscription is ending in October and I recieved a flyer saying that the price for one year was $142 or something like that. Well, after seeing that I decided not to renew. I have my ipod and I listen to that just as much so I would just do without XM. I called and told them that I was not going to renew and the operator passed me on to someone else and they asked why and I told them that because of the substantial jump in price that I wasn't interested and I would just use my ipod.

The lady said that the $77 was a promotional offer last year but that she would give me that again for another year. So I agreed. So I have signed up for XM for the $77 plus tax that I did last year. :D

I just thought I would pass it along. I had no intention of keeping XM when I called but for $77 for the year I can justify that - I like the classical music they provide.

Happy motoring!

I put off renewing mine and they were sending me flyers and what not and they all have different offers. Well I was set on not renewing but they called me and offered me 5 months for $19.99. I jumped at it, I can cancel after the 5 months no obligation!!!

FOr the last 2 years I called them and told them I am not paying $142 and was sent to the cancellation department. They offered me $85 for a year. I took it, as it is still a lot better than $142/year. I found the trick is get the cancellation department, they are the ones authorized to make deals and give lower prices.

Thats a great trick to know. I just got my first E and i love it. I got it used and the second day i was driving it i was messing with the buttons and hit the xm button and low and behold i had xm. So ive been crusing around with xm thinking that maybe the previous owners had subscribed to it and i was reaping the benefits. Then i recived a letter from xm welcoming me to xm but i havent paid anything or recived a bill yet. What do you guys think

By the way im new to the forum and enjoy reading every ones tips and tricks!!!!!
