Here are some shots of some of the modifications made on the my wife's E....I installed the Injen yesterday and was a very simple procedure, the grill was installed a week ago, the rug a month ago with the bungees and the pedals ..well I bought them on the way home from the dealer.....

1st thing you notice with the intake is when you shift you now know by ear if you're at a high RPM and not have to solely rely on the tach...as far as the difference in feel when driving now vs stock is there especiallly when trying to pass another vehicle....4 me the main reason for the intake was not for anything other than trying to get better gas milage and a little more pep when in a hurry....the pedals I bought them at an Acura dealer...they match the interior and I thought why not...pimp huh?.... :roll:..good enough for an Acura...good enough for a Honda....(yea yeah...I know same CO ... :roll: )

Have you driven enough to get a feel for the mileage after the intake install? Are you going to change the exhaust? I'm very interested in the intake mod as it relates to fuel mileage. BTW, Nice E!

After this long weekend I will go get some gas and take down the mileage so it will be for a while before I gas up again...at that time I will take the difference in miles and divide it by the amount of gallons used...I will post my findings ...and as far an exhaust, no plans yet.....I think the stock exhaust is good enough, not very restrictive from my point of view..and also is quiet...I have yet to see an aftermarket exhaust that sounds nice...so far none...all loud and after a while let me tell you....it gets old... :(

One thing we have to remember is that this is my wife's vehicle and she is very concervative.... :wink: ...all the modifications so far have been her idea....the pedals are the same one's on my car and she likes the feel of traction between the souls of her shoes and them ( you know I can't imagine driving with high heels... :roll: ..well maybe if no one is watching... :D j/k)....also I wanted to go orange with the bungees but I got the evil eye so that meant ...: I got some black honey, let me put it on... 8) ....
her next modification...if you can call it that..is getting one of those cans for trash....I hope to have the online site that was posted here a while back.....just chek the picture with the gum wrapper on the dash..grrr :?

I installed my CAI yesterday but didn't install the extension. Right now it is the rainy season here in Florida. I will install it when things dry out. The sound is awsome, the acceleration is very noticable even at high speeds. Definitely a good investment. I filled up today and will post a mileage report in about a week. SSM EX.

Hey nice install, HEK. Looks good. That will prolly be the next mod I do for my Flaming Box, as I have already had installed a from the cat-back a exhaust; resonator, Magna-flow muffler and bigger dia pipes to a dual square tip under the bumper. Has a nice throaty sound without the screaming fart can of a import racing screamer!

Elelover, Hey, I haven't even looked under the car to see what it looks like, or how it winds around, if it does. According to the tech I talked to, exiting the cat con the pipe is 1/4 inch bigger in dia and goes to a resonator (do not know length between aformentioned items) and then to a magnaflow muffler and then to the bumper where it splits to a square ended dual tipped ends. It sounds really deeper sounding, which impresses me. I was thinking it might sound like a fart car import racer muffler, you know, with the high whine when it takes off.

Just a note about the Injen CAI. You will not be able to connect the extension piece if you have the stock Honda fog lights installed. The housing for the fog lights will not allow the new cone filter to fit in its new location, in front of the driver’s side wheel, under the head light.

So if you have the stock fog lights save yourself some time and do not remove the bumper. I will keep the unit installed without the extension until next year when I install some Piaa driving lights in place of the stock Honda ones. The Piaa lights are smaller in total dimension, therefore they should allow the filter to fit in nicely.

Is there a chip upgrade for the element?
