At the HB Meet, SOME -ONE Got my head spinning about adding the Mercedez SL antenna Stub to the side of an Element.

10 hours of searching on the Web.

4 hours of pestering the parts guys at MBZ dealers.

FORGET IT! The antenna costs about $350. I would have to cut into the body for the mounting hw and make some FUNKY harness for the connection.

But I did find:

When I get it and take a GOOD look at what my $35 got me I'll let you know what I came up with.

This is an Audi Antenna. If I can get this to work on the Accord Shark Fin. (Not the stick on one the real one.)

Well I'm trying to decide if this becomes a cosmetic only MOD>

The antenna is not powerd as the e-bay auction said it was.

So If I put it on the pwr options will not be connected.

But I did find a company who is willing to look at our car as a valid point of install. I'll do some pics of my antenna and send them to thier R & D folk.

But I may need help from some of the '05's and SC's on the board.

I'll let you all know soon.

Brian...Count me in! What about the flat Accord antenna, that would work with the application I need even better.
