Just dropping in to say hi as I will probably be becoming a regular here soon. I think I have finally decided on the element now I just have to decide on a color/model. I really like the sc especially the rootbeer metallic color.(I was going to paint my ep that color) but one of my main reasons for getting an E is the awd. So that almost rules out the sc. Anyways here is where I'm coming from ephatch the last few years and numerous honda's before that. So hopefully I'll be able to lend a hand and answer some questions after I get my feet wet. My ep which will be getting traded in soon.

Ep3 is the chassis code for the 2002-2005 civic si. Most forums for the car side of things use the chassis code to refer to the car (ie dc5= rsx, fg2=new civic si 2dr.)
But thanks guys I hope to get an Element in the next month or two and by next spring have some stuff done to it. Not as much as my si though. Way too much money invested there.:|

The talking bobble heads can all bobble-babble as much as they want, but the TRUE believers will know what color is the best (and also one of the rarest). Tango Red Pearl will make your car at least 30% faster than all the others and add 70hp. I believe the decision makes itself...:rolleyes:

Man I honestly was going to try and keep it stock but the more I always have a problem with that. It really sucks because thats why I'm selling my ep. Having a car that books at $9000 with over $12k of parts isn't really worth it. But I unfortunately do have a ton of ideas for a pretty badass element.:shock:

I actually would but my friend has that color and it would be weird if we had the same exact car. I wish the awd models came in rootbeer metallic. Let me rephrase that, I wish the sc came in awd.:rolleyes: Decisions decisions.

WELCOME!!! I always love people who think they're not going to spend a bunch of money on their NEW E! :-D Looking at your current ride, you are a guaranteed goner! There are even a few people who have bought the AWD Elements and converted to the SC front ends. That will be perfect for you, then all you'll have to do is paint it in the Pearl Root Beer and you're in business!!!:) I can hardly wait to see the pics! :grin:

Agreed, it'll pay MUCH better to return your civic to stock (or as close as you can), sell it, then sell the aftermarket parts separately on eBay. Common practice for modded up cars.

I bought my 2005 a couple months ago. It's an EX because the awd is what I wanted for the snow/bad weather we can get here. And I'm sure I'll like having it here. But I do like the SC's. Really like the Galaxy Gray color in it....looks classy. No matter what model, the car is a great buy!!!!!

They're all nuts, those who speak of colors and such but they're all family. It's the best place you could have found for this is a great group. We have some friends from Vermont who come to all the meets. Bad Robot and MysticFalcon for instance.
Remember the mod bugs always turns into the mod monster.....be safe and let the wallet guide you.
