: HELP!-WHAT does the "off" button do on the audio
Edean 08-31-2003, 02:10 PM hi-i just got my E-4WD EX AUTO blk.
there is a button on the radio/cd player marked "off". its on radio pre-set button 6. i know pre-set # 3, 4, 5...with "h","m" and "r" are for the clock controls. the "off" on pre-set 6 is the same size and font of the "h", "m" and "r"...i cant find info in the owners guide. any ideas? thanks!!!
BriBoy01 09-01-2003, 09:20 PM You can turn the clock on the radio display off and on with that. I know because after being very disturbed for a month that my E didnt have a clock i held it down by accident and suddenly i had a clock.
So I turned the clock off last night, but for the life of me, can't figure out how to turn it back on. I held down the button and everything...
bwojc3 09-16-2003, 12:23 PM If the clock is off, pressing the right knob will turn it back on. (If that doesn't work, try pressing and holding the knob. I haven't done it in a while so I don't remember.) When a CD is playing, pressing and holding the right knob will make the clock display blink. If you press OFF while it's blinking, the display will switch to elapsed time for the CD track that is playing. This setting is remembered even after you turn off the unit and later turn it on. Unfortunately, it results in a blank display (i.e. no clock) when the unit is off or the radio is playing. Playing a CD will again show elapsed time.
dragonflyblue 09-16-2003, 01:00 PM how do you turn the clock on while the radio etc is playing, it has been bugging the crap out of me not having a clock unless the radio is off
thanks for any info
dragonflyblue 09-16-2003, 01:10 PM i just went out and figured out how to turn my clock on and set the time. Just wanted to let ya'll know
I LOVE THIS SITE, I WOULD BE CLUELESS WITHOUT!!

Hawaiian E 10-30-2003, 02:36 PM when the clock is blinking use the preset buttons mentioned in the first post. Its in the manual also.
hownowcb 10-30-2003, 07:37 PM What's this "manual" thing you're talking about? Is that some option they never told me about? Just imagine how much profit Honda dealers could make on that one! Well, on second thought, maybe nobody would actually want an owners manual if it WERE an option!

Think they would read the manual if it was an option?
hownowcb 10-31-2003, 01:56 AM Only if they'd paid "official" Honda dealer price for it! If you could get it for less on eBay, why bother to actually read it at all?
Oregon Boy 10-31-2003, 04:14 PM Did you guys get no manual? How weird.
Is there a way to make the clock display when the key is off, such as by pushing the "tune" knob? maybe one of the posts above has addressed that and I'm just too dense to understand. I've tried a few combinations of buttons/knobs but haven't succeeded in doing anything except to turn the clock off and on when the key is on.
