i was at the local audio shop today trying to set up a time for them to install my new system, but was confused when he asked if i was going to supply the wiring harness for the car.

reason why i am confused is because i am using a whole new system with a new headunit, 4channel amp, and mono amp for the subs. So why would i need a wiring harness if i am not using any of the factory components???

I already have the wiring harnesses for the door speakers in the car for my infinity 6022si's. So do i need anything else???

The only harness that I could think that they were talking about is the Metra. That way the shop could connect to the existing radio harness without affecting the existing wires. They would use the illumination, ac power and antenna power wires. Other than that I would not know what they are talking about.

Basically, it's like asking if you want to cut your existing wires or not. Like your speaker harnesses. You decided not to cut them and wire them manually. Now, apply that on if you want to cut your radio harness.

ok, so it's for the radio and everything, i gotcha now. totally forgot about the repetitive radio. I like my ipod fifty thousand times better. Hell, even xm has become insanely annoying.:mad:

so where would i get this wiring harness. Is there a specific one for the element or is it for all hondas from say 89-up???
