: Picked up my 08 EX on Saturday...
Plo0P 10-24-2007, 09:03 PM ... and love it! I just topped 400 miles tonight. I got the Galaxy Grey Metallic, 5AT (so my wife can drive it too), AWD. I traded in a 1998 Mercedes ML320. It was running pretty well but was tired of the bimonthly trips to the shop for minor repairs. The car before that was a 99 Civic EX coupe, and I had to go back to Honda after the great experience I had with that ride.
And, you all were right! The mod bug has already hit. I spent some time today looking for black gutter guards to patch the a/c compressor gap.
Do you all find that the bug deflector actually works?
Will post some pics soon!

David - you're going to fit in nicely around here. Welcome to the club.
Margaret 10-25-2007, 11:15 AM The bug defector that most of us have installed is the 'Home Depot Gutter Guard'. If you do a search for that you'll get lots of information on it including a picture of me installing it. It's really easy.
Enjoy the Element!
Darth Raider 10-25-2007, 12:14 PM "WELCOME!!!" What you will find here is that it's bad enough to spend money, but it's even worse when you have tons of people cheering you on to do it! "Enjoy!!!"

Welcome PloOP!
Don't forget to wash it every week, and when going to the store, park it out in timbucktoo- that way, no dings, easy access to open both doors for all that you can fit inside, and it's a nice long walk back just staring at that beautiful E that's all yours.:D:D, okay really, I know I'm not the only one that does that:???:
Sunshine 10-25-2007, 01:13 PM Howdy! Yep, the Modbug finds its way into your system fast... don't bother trying to find a cure, as there isn't one!
Post some photos!!!

I bought the grill guard today. I need to paint it this weekend, and hopefully Monday or Tuesday I can get it installed.
Does the hood bug deflector do a decent job at keeping bugs from splatting all over the windshield?

It does a better job of keeping them off the edge of the hood.....and it looks good....but other than that....i get just as many bugs splats as i did without it.
