Darth Raider 08-01-2011, 09:46 AM so what model car would I need to order for to get some lower control arms an beaks bar to fit a 06 element??
Skunk2 and Function 7 both make lower control arms for the Element, they use the same ones for the Acura RSX. The Beaks Sub Frame Tie Bar is for the Civic EK and will have to be modified to fit your ride.

AztecRol 08-01-2011, 01:07 PM As Chief stated, the LCAs that will work with an 05 - 06 Acura RSX will work
on the E. Eibach and KSport make them as well. If you would just do a search,
you will find SEVERAL threads on LCAs for the E. If you have on 07+ E, then
the LCA will not fit unless you have one of the mounting holes modified from
a 12mm to a 14mm opening.
Here is one of the many threads out there:

kitkat123474 08-04-2011, 11:51 AM referring to those beaks lower tie bars - get the civic EK one. just about the same length as the lower sub frame with either DC5 mounting brackets or with custom mounts. all easily do-able

Great job on the PhotoShop, and no offense, but that exhaust looks ridiculous on there. Although not a fan of rear mounted mufflers on the Element, if you made the muffler slightly larger, I'm sure it would look much better. 8)

That E is in Japan. No info on it other than he has some USDM parts on it.
Kaoss 10-06-2011, 11:39 PM More importantly, I'd like to find out what it's wheel specs are. They look like 20s in the back and 19s in the front, either that or it's the angle the photo is taken on.

The CE28 never came in a 20" rim. By looking at those, I would say those are
18's. They might be 19's, but looking at the tire size and the BBK, my guess is
gonna be 18's. If so, they are probably 18 X 8.5 +40. They could be 18 X 9 +40
or even +35. If they are 19's, they might be 19 X 8.5 +35 or 19 X 9.5 +36. It
depends on how big the caliper is on the BBK. Looks like the Rotora Kit that I
have, but with the blue calipers:
http://www.importshark.com/ProductImages/Brakes/Rotora%20BBK%20metallic%20blue.jpg
If it is the Rotora BBK, then I would put the offset at around +35 to clear
without spacers.

I agree it's nice, but certainly not something to fudge your pants over. Not really feeling those style wheels, as the center/lug area makes it look like they are universal lug pattern wheels. Maybe they are, I don't really know.

They are not a universal fit rim. They are super light weight rim, so Volk did
everything they could to get the weight down. If they are 18s, they probably
weigh around 15 - 17 lbs each!!! If they are 19s, they probably weigh around
18 - 20 lbs each. That really makes a huge difference in rotational mass.

Kaoss 10-09-2011, 07:51 PM I'm personally a huge fan of the CE28, especially in bronze. They are probably my favourite set of wheels. HOTBOX1208 11-15-2011, 11:02 PM wow blackwagon, i've never seen your car. looks sick bro.
here's a shot of mine from the import alliance fall meet this past weekend:
looking good cmack...i like how you mounted the yakima basket to the roof rack....very low profile. I was researching baskets that i could mount like that onto a factory rack, but couldn't find anything that would work. I wanted to put a spare tire up there so i could put the air tank and compressor in the wheel well.
c_mack9 11-16-2011, 12:19 PM thanks, thats a yakima basketcase. its just a smidge to wide but if you bend the mounting tabs just a tiny bit, it'll mount like that, then you can raise and lower it about an inch to suit your liking. its pretty handy to have up there. i just added the snowboard attachments back to the rack, i need to get some more pics with those on there.
blackwagon those lm reps look really good. what are the specs on those? i was going to re barrel a pair i got from a friend after color matching the centers but i'm going to have to get some spacers to get a decent fit. at this point i might just sell them and start fresh.

not a good idea. w/ the wide open area where the doors are, the roof is critical stiffening element for the body. those who have cut off the roof generally found it necessary to install full cage to maintain the body stiffness so that the doors would still work, etc.

Kaoss 03-01-2012, 10:59 PM He's probably static. I remember reading somewhere he was on TEINs, but I may be wrong.

EDIT: Also, is the Beaks bar also a direct bolt-on, without any modifications needed, on stock EX suspension?

He is still on coilovers the last time I checked his blog. As for the SC swaybar it will not fit because the mounting points are different in the middle, the end are the same.
The BEAKs subframe bar also needs to be modified however it is a real easy mod. I have mine ready to go however getting into my driveway is hard enough without it... if I put it on I might tear it off. If your are interested I would be sell for a good price, never been used just has the new holes added
Kaoss 03-01-2012, 11:24 PM Ah, thanks for the clarification. I'm looking for a way to stiffen up the current ride. It could just be that the shocks need replacing, since I've racked up close to 200,000kms and it's rather bouncy on the highway.

misdirection11082 04-02-2012, 07:44 PM 12mpg Nice wheels. Did you end up getting the ksports to drop it
12MPGlol 04-02-2012, 08:17 PM Oddly enough the KSports are on there, it just doesn't look low. We're down like 3 inches in the front, 2.5 in the rear. We think we're going almost 5 in the front and 4 in the rear.
Eww-an E 04-02-2012, 11:47 PM 12MPGlol, I'm digging your new wheels and I'm looking forward to seeing your pics from your next photo shoot. 8)

thiselemento 04-12-2012, 01:41 AM This may be a better option for the lower tie bar.

That is Akihiro Yama****a's set up on his 2004 (JDM) Element EX in Japan. The Megan Racing Tie Bar is a problem if you have the Suspension Techniques Anti Sway Bars, there isn't enough clearance.

Working to get it lower, but man, I love these new Enkei Raijins. (18x9.5 +15). I'm doing a proper shoot of it this week!
I like the wheels... do they rub when you turn or go over bumps?

This does look like the same type of setup as Akihio's E. I wish I could put it on the SC.
racerc2000 04-13-2012, 09:42 PM that setup "looks" great
but how does it perform with those long brackets? seems like a large leverage area
but im all for the look with more clearance
