I went to clean my windows while parked the other day and no fluid came out. I had just filled the reservoir a few days before so I got out to check under the hood and saw a river of fluid pouring out from under the tank.
I hope it is just a hose that popped off of the pump. I am going to the dealer next week to have them fix it.
While I am there they are going to do the oil change and rotate the tires (5-10k service) I will have them fix the rocking seat too, per the TSB that they never heard of before
Has anyone else had a problem with the windshield wiper fluid pump / reservoir / hoses?
Thanks for any input.
My one and only defect was a "pinched windshield washer fluid tube". This was the tube that went from the front windshield washer fluid resevoir to the rear window spray nozzle. Chuckleheads at the factory didn't put the tube into it's specific track. The plastic cover on the door step/ledge pinched it shut. Thats been the only thing since I picked up the E in Feb. and here it is 15,100 miles later.

After I first bought my E, I thought there was something wrong with the pump also- couldn't get any fluid out! Turns out I was pushing the lever the wrong way!

I had the front plastic off yesterday to install some driving lights and noticed that the washer pump is very exposed. I had the same problem about a month ago, I had hit a racoon. There was no visual damage to the exterior, but it busted the pump. Did you happen to hit something and not pay any attention to it??

Nope, I don't think I hit anything - I am the only driver too. I remember I used the washer/wipers the night before, the next morning I went to leave and started to use them again when they gave out. I got out of the car to look and the fluid was pouring out as I looked at it, so I think it happened right then.
Thanks all for the responses, I will let you know what the dealer tells me on Thursday.

I just had the same problem this week. I went to wash off the windows and no water came out. The front blades respond and the rear window blade/washer works. I know I didn't hit anything, so thats not it. I looked but didn't see anything obviously wrong under the hood. I needed to do my first oil change anyways so I'll be taking it in to the dealer on Monday the 15th to check it out.

I got my car back from the dealer last night and he said the hose that leads to the rear wiper nozzle popped off of the pump. It was an easy fix for them and not a broken pump or reservoir. Also, they never heard of the TSB about the rocking seats, so he looked into it and ordered the parts. I will have to go back for a second visit, but so far it has been pretty painless dealing with the dealer and warranty repair.

I got my E back from the dealer. They had to replace the washer motor. The reason listed on the invoice is "shorted". I'm kinda surprised being a new car and all. My seat rocks a little too but the correction listed is "need to order part" (huh?). Otherwise everything is okay.
