: Detailed 08 Element SC photos
JPCruising 11-11-2007, 08:08 PM Got my new 08 Element SC on Monday night and have been waiting for the weekend so I could detail to my standards. The car dealers do a very quick job. I used Menzerna Final Polish II and Menzerna FMJ super polymer finish. I liked the easy of application and taking it off. Used my Porter Cable dual action orbiter to put on the polish. Here are the photos of the results.

Critical_level2 11-11-2007, 08:46 PM OMG........YOu did an incredible job. The deepness and glossinessof is great.
SO when can you come over and do mine.:)
chozn4service 11-11-2007, 08:46 PM Nice! Real nice! I need to do the same thing. I just got an orbital a month or so ago and have yet to use it on my E. I did try it on my squad car with nice results for a white car but I want to get it on my E. I hope to mix up some Zaino at weeks and and go for it.
JPCruising 11-11-2007, 09:09 PM Thanks for the replies, starting out with a new car makes life easier. I did have a few defects as a result of the dealers quick detail that I had to remove but the Menzerna Final Polish II removed them quickly with the DA orbital. I was really happy with this product and its easy of use, I don't like products that require alot of work to use.
Crafty 11-11-2007, 10:08 PM Sweet job on your sweeter ride!! Congrats on your 08, all the best with it!

JPCruising 11-12-2007, 07:27 AM To my CA friends I live on the east coast of Florida. Please let me know when you are driving your Elements across the USA and maybe we can work out a time to detail your Elements. :D
Sunshine 11-12-2007, 07:52 AM Wow JP...fantastic job!!! Its time for me to wax my Edna, and you have just given me all the motivation I need to do it. :D

Nice Nice Nice..........
So, did it rain the next day?
It does every time I wax mine
Darth Raider 11-12-2007, 11:17 AM I owned a Detail shop in Beverly Hills for about seven years, so I know the time, work and effort involved to have your vehicle looking exactly the way you want. My compliments to you on a very nice job!
Chief
I think JP just attatched mirrors all over his E -- I think I'm gonna try it!:D
JPCruising 11-12-2007, 08:01 PM Today was a great day with no rain to spoil the new shine, although I do wish the states north of FL would get some much needed rain. I really love walking out the new E at work and getting in a clean E. I am having a lot of fun driving my new E compared to my Dodge Ram 1500 Quad cab that I traded in. Driving by the gas stations is cool, filled up on Saturday and so far I have gotten 23.91 mpg. When I pulled up to the pump the previous person had pumped $77 worth in their vehicle. I think I traded at the right time.

We're getting the much needed rain all right. With my over time I'm working this week and the rain is suppose to continue all the way through Thursday, I may get to using my orbital over the weekend. Anyway, the E looks good sitting in the garage. Once I got back from our camping trip two weeks ago, I imediately washed it and wiped it down and it was show room clean again. I just want add two more coats of the Zaino because Bikerchick said after you have 4 coats applied the shine is like BLAM!!!!
We shall see. Anyway, I think I may start working on the boat that Noah built back in the garage here at the state police post.
FUGuzzi 11-12-2007, 08:33 PM FAntastic job! If I had a vehicle that clean, I'd never drive it.
MICHAEL WATTS 11-12-2007, 09:53 PM I have a 07 rbm sc. Yours looks FANTASTIC in the photos. I love the fog lights, they really make the front end look good. It is great to live in a one tag state. It keeps the front end clean. Where can I get some of the wax products you talked about??. It looks good.
RBFloat 11-13-2007, 01:52 AM Nice job. I spent Sunday finally getting to wax my 3 week old RBM SC too. I figured with the paint being new. I just used Mequiars carnauba as it didn't need any cleaner or polish. I can sleep easily now that I know its paint is protected.
Spotman 11-13-2007, 08:53 AM JP;
Great looking job on the E...
Could you warn us first, "before opening, please put on sunglasses".
