Happy for you, the dogs look right at home!:) I was going to get one of those barriers but use it at the back window, do you think it would work?

It seems like it would fit just fine anywhere in the back...I like it for the price, works perfect and easy to remove if I have people in the back, which I like a lot.

Groucho and I just received our Riley Mat - they now offer beige (perfect to hide yellow labbie hair!). Fits perfectly and nothing slides around now! I did BARK, but they do any dog's name.

Two of the 13 dogs we have so far been able to get away from a hoarder with more than 80 dogs. Lucy is the reddish dog, and Larry is the black dog. Larry had been living in a mud run (during our horrible storm) and was tied to a tree. Lucy has been tired to the wheel of a car and her only shelter was under the vehicle.

My Riley Mat under the rear crate (with the red dog) was great! The crate didn't slide around at all.

The founder of Downtown Dog Rescue in LA has an E that has transported about 500 dogs over the past four years. Dogs have chewed up the back seatbelt, the parking brake, and the driver's seat belt insert. This is her E transporting a couple sweet pit bulls away from a hoarder yesterday.

I've tried a few different arrangements with my dogs, but they like to be high enough that they can see out, so I ended up just putting a piece of astro turf type carpet over the back seat and letting them ride there.

nine pit bull puppies on their way to Vegas to meet up with the transport van to Best Friends in Utah. Notice Groucho saying, "I have nothing to do with any of this chaos". Only one out of nine threw up and the Riley Mat cleaned up beautifully.

These are the two reasons I bought an Element in the first place. Maximus (Max) is an American Pit Bull Terrier and Molly is a Basset Hound. But she thinks she's a Pit Bull! :-) They will both be 2 this year. Max in April and Molly the end of June.

77889

Molly likes to stand on the arm rest and look out the front window.

77890

This was their debut in the new (to us) element.

A rescue we fostered and placed, named Morgana. BTW- I saw a few people reference blocking the dogs from the front seat, and this is the easy cheap way to do it. I used the top of an old large wire crate, and use bungee cords to secure it through the slats, around the head rests. Easy to put in and take out, and since the rest of the crate was destined for the dump, it didn't really cost me anything.

A couple of weekends ago- this is Chavez, another rescue who is looking for a home currently. We were doing the spring cleanup around the yard, and had opened the back of the car to load it up for the dump..Cha couldn't resist....so of course he got a ride first :-D

May I suggest something to cover the slots in the floor so the pups in your care don't get a paw caught in the anchors for the rear seat

Finally got a few pics of my dogs in the L. Kacey is the black and white one. She's a Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie mix. Adopted her at the animal shelter. Bella is the retired racing Greyhound. They both love to go for rides in the Element. I have taken the rear seats out for more room. The whole rear end is covered in LL Bean dog beds. Kacey rides with her head in between the seats resting it on a small pillow. Bella just curls up in the back and sleeps.

Truth is . . . .I bought my Element because of my dogs. Linda and I have four bigger dogs of various ages - two Black Labs and two Golden Retreivers. The Labs were having problems getting into my wife's XC90. One was too old to jump into the back. The other was too blind. With the E, I can fold up the back seats, open the side doors, and the "pack" walks right in. :-D

That's why we bought one, too. We have a male English Mastiff that is over 200 lbs, and a female English Mastiff mix that is about 100 lbs. We wanted something they would fit in and would be easy to clean. :) I'm LOVING the E!
