I know this has probably been talked and retalked. I have a SC with about 6k miles and have noticed a squeak coming from the rear somewhere. When going over speed bumps it's very noticable. How many of you have noticed this. I can drop the tailgate and stand on it and kinda bounce and make it do it. It's high on the agenda list when I get the time to take it to the dealer.
I'm just curious as to how many others having this same problem.

I don't have an SC but I did have the same problem with an EX. I tracked the squeak down and found it was coming from the lower bushings. I hosed them down with silicone spray lube and it went away. That was two years ago and the squeak has yet to return.

Thanks for the tip. The dealer probably wouldn't find it anyways. I'm still curious as to how many NEW E's out there with this same defect.

Hey,
I had the same squeaking on my 08 BRP SC. Took it to the dealer and after a whole day of testing they found the squeak! Apparently in the lower suspension, on both ends of the sway bars, there were two plastic caps that were supposed to be removed during the pre-delivery inspection but were missed. The tech pulled them off and the squeak went away. The caps looked like 35mm film canisters with a handle on them.

Thats interesting. Along with all the paperwork is a pre-inspection the dealer suppose to have done on the car before handing over the keys. Sloppy.. really sloppy. I have a bone to pick with the dealer anyways. I paid for splashguards and during it's first hand washing, I noticed the rears where never put on. I'll look for that this evening and may take a photo of them if they are indeed there. Thanks for the info. I'm sure others will suffer this oversight. I even bought a can of spray fixing to hose the entire rear suspension down. It is driving my wife nuts when she hits those speed bumps in the parking lots at the malls.
