Hello all. I've been lurking here for a few months now. Looks like a really nice site. I finally picked up an 07 E SC yesterday. We traded in a 2004 Civic Si on it that we'd bought new. The SC is great! Haven't had much time with it yet, but the time we have had has been good.

A friend of mine has 2 Element EX's. I've done some installs for him such as foglights on both, trailer hitches and harnesses on both, and remote start/keylesses on both. One of them is his wife's but he drives it occasionally. I did a write-up on the foglight install on another forum and could post it up here if it hasn't been done already. I think I've still got the pics on my hard drive.

I've got a Viper 791VX alarm/remote start that I'm gonna be installing pretty soon. I can also do a write-up on that.

Just a few questions on the SC... I've looked back over other threads and found a few answers, but some of them aren't SC specific.

*Where's everyone getting their billet grills, and are the Non SC grills the same?
*Springs: I'd like to lower it about 1 - 1.5" I know the SC is ~1" lower, so if I have a 2" lowering spring, it would actually lower the SC 1", correct? I guess what I'm asking is, are Non-SC springs compatible with the SC's. I read a statement from wastedonanime about wearing out the shocks, but with the shorter shocks on the SC and only going 1" lower, is that a factor here? I'm not really looking to drop $1K on suspension just yet.
*Trailer hitch: I've seen the threads concerning the SC's and a U-Haul class III hitch. I guess I'm gonna do that and trim the rear bumper. I refuse to pay $400 at the dealer for a Class I hitch. One of the forum sponsors has them for $220 (?) but I think I'll just take my chances with trimming.

Future plans:
*I'm already piecing together a stereo for it. So far I've picked up a JL Audio 500/1, 3 10W0's, a JL fiberglass tri-plate, MB Quart Reference 6.5" components. I've got an Alpine CDA-9857 that I'll use until I can pick up a Pioneer D3. I've got one of those in my truck and it's pretty awesome, but not much on sound quality.
*Lower it just a little. As with every Honda, it's got too much fenderwell gap. That drives me crazy with something like this that's supposed to be a "street cruiser". About an inch less and it would be perfect, IMO.
*Front door windows need to be tinted. Prolly get that done next week.
*Add a billet grill depending on the answer from the top.
*Trailer hitch and harness. Gotta be to tow the lawn mower or CBR1000RR....
*Enjoy the hell out of it. We've got a trip to Texas coming up in February that's 1,800 miles one way. Mission, TX is a getaway for my parents and we go to see them when they're there.

About me:

Me and my wife have been boaters for a few years now. We currently have a 2007 Supra Launch 24SSV Gravity Games boat. Wakeboarding is pretty big with us. We've still been hittin the river here with a 56* water temp. Here's a link to the pics of the boat/truck...

Anyway, Hello to all!

Howdy! Glad to have you join us! Don't worry, the hazing isn't all that bad!

RBM is such a pretty color. You'll have to post some photos soon...really soon!

I see the Modbug has already bitten you. Don't try to fight it, just let it do its thing and drain your wallet/max out your credit cards. :D

haha... That already happened with my truck/boat/motorcycle/and the last few cars :lol::lol:

Weather's been crappy here and I've been on shift (12 hour days). I'll probably snap some this weekend. Not much other than a stock SC, but I'll post up some soon.

Thanks for the welcomes
