oh how i love that clamshell!!! in most vehicle with a 5th door, little dogs come slippin' out the back down low. & us humans can be tooo ssslllowww. the ol' clam is great for holding back my small dogs... but my big dogs ( as well behaved as they are :arrow: :twisted: ) will still try and jump over & out. i noticed the slots for the tailgate seatback(?) and i am thinking that a bar of some sort would act as a some form of deterrent. finding something rigid to fit in that slot shouldn't be too hard (hmmmm... uhhh yeah) however, i was wondering if anybody out there might have any ideas on where i could find something spring-loaded (or the equivalent). i don't need nuke-proof, but the sturdier the better.

A spring loaded shower curtian rod. I used one to keep groceries in place in my pick up. They are completely adjustable and come in colors. They are also rubber tipped so no scratches.
