have 2003 E 4WD looking for a good reasonable honest mechanic to do some maintenance and need new washer pump, door actuator and likely cv joints (sigh). Any suggestions appreciated!

When you find a good mechanic let me know. Having had major automotive issues with my last car I learnt that getting the right mechanic can save thousands. I gave up on my Colt wagon and sold it for cheap. But I did learn when I was at the wreckers in Surrey, the people at the wreckers are the ones who know who the real good mechanics are.

There's an independant shop on Imperial in Burnaby, the owner/mechanic's name is Kats (which I think is short for his full Japanese name). Honest guy, good work, we took my wife's Civic there for years, and the E will be going there if/when its needed. Sorry I don't have the actual name of the shop, but drive along there behind the Metrotown area... the shop is on the north side of Imperial.
