Yep you need new lug nuts, the alloy wheels are different than the steel wheels. Drew:)

What lugs did you buy the EX ones?

The EX and SC lugnuts are the same. The only difference between the DX ones is that they have a plastic ring on them that holds on the factory hubcaps. If you pop the plastic ring off the lugnut it will work for the EX/SC wheels.

Do you really have to remove the plastic rings? I use the same lug nuts on DX steelies (snows) and EX alloys (summer tires). Are the nut wells in the SC wheels that different?

Rambler, The EX lug nuts don't have the plastic washer rings used to hold on hubcaps, therefore they work on the DX wheels.

Eletin is going from DX to SC wheels so he will need to remove the rings.

I should have been more specific. I use the DX lug nuts, with the plastic rings, on both the DX (steel) wheels and the EX alloy wheels. In other words, the plastic rings don't interfere with the EX wheels at all. So it could be that they will work fine with the SC wheels, unless the wells are different.

(It doesn't work the other way around: The lug nuts for EX wheels, which lack the plastic rings, won't hold the center caps on steel wheels. But that's not the issue here.)

Sorry Rambler, I always assumed that the rings would not fit in the smaller receesses hole, I have always removed them, but then again I tried the lugs with rings on a OEM accord wheel that had a center cap and little clearance around the lug seat so maybe that is why I have always removed the rings.
