I just replaced my speakers with Polk Audio 6 1/2" components and I mounted the tweeter high on the door. Since I'm not using the factory tweeter location, I was wondering if any of the other E models had the a-pillar trim WITHOUT the built-in grille. If so I would order the "blank" trim piece from Majestic.

I'll post pictures when I get the rear speakers installed.

Nope they only come one way, just some don't have anything behind them. Drew:)

You could always cut out the pod and fill the hole smooth it out with Bondo and paint them satin black like your dash. Drew:)

I might cover them with smiley-face stickers.

So those speaker pods in the pillars are empty in my DX? SWEET now i can mount something electronic there BWHAHAHAHA... hmm... my new Deck comes with a bluetooth microphone... might mount that under there (assuming I test the sound first). might have to stuff some insulation behind the mic to kill road noise... eh i think it might work

Yup the pods are empty in DX and LX. Cheaper for Honda to only stock the one trim part rather than 2 different sets. I've been debating hollowing mine out and putting my laser death ray controls in it :D

HA... put "THE RED BUTTON" on the passenger side, tell them not to push it, watch them stare at it for the entire trip :D... or just put the flux capacitor in there (slightly miniaturized of course)... or from the older GM commercials a "Push for Trunk Monkey" button (although we really dont have a trunk)

I was thinking that they could be a good spot to put mini map lights.

Big Al:

Just out of curiosity, is there a reason you didn't use the stock tweeter locations? I'm in the process of deciding on components now, and I was just going to pop the old tweeter out and put the new one in there.
