Spent the week after New Years in Big Bear, and got to play in some snow and get a lot of hiking done with the pup. Good times.

Day one (Castle Rock Trail):

Difficult trail: narrow, iced, and slants toward the gully. Nikko did just fine trotting up and down; I fell on my ass twice coming down.

Definitely required scrambling at points. Nikko often looked back as if to ask, "hey, why you walking so slow today?"
