Well... I picked snowboarding. But I will be taking ice fishing for it (and my) first time ever as soon as this heatwave is over (it's been in the 30's and 40's all week).

Definitely snowboarding - still planning on getting 35 days in this year if I can. The E is great for this - transport and rolling basecamp/party central all in one!

IF SKIING WAS EASY THEY WOULD CALL IT SNOWBOARDING!

Hmmm...I haven't started the E in a month.

I think I'd also drive to a hockey game or a stock show (http://www.nationalwestern.com/).

Well, it wasn't listed on the poll, but I'd have to say my favorite thing to do in my E when a good snow is on is driving around town and going about my business while looking at everyone else struggling to keep it on the road. I've actually tried to get my E stuck in 18 inches of snow and couldn't.

Skiing, Snow, Ice??? Not in Tidewater Virginia! How about bike riding on the beach. All the tourists are hibernating.

hehehehe...same here in Central Texas. Hey it's actually 34 at my office now. I rode my bike in shorts & a sleeveless jersey Saturday

Winter sports are the same as summer sports, 'cept you don't have to get up at 6 a.m. to beat the triple digit temps.

Snow.... ice... winter? What's that? I wanted to take the poll and realized southern Georgia doesn't offer much in the winter sports arena. I was looking for kayaking!

It has been 15 to 30 below zero all weekend so the xc skiis have stayed on the rack and we have been playing Umbrella Chronicals and Super Mario Galaxy on the wii.

I'm totally there with ya :D

I also really really want to see someone try to PLAY hockey in their Element, as the poll suggests...

As far as my own favorite activity, I prefer driving like a maniac around town in deep snow :D Being quit non-athletic myself, I prefer to let other people burn the energy for me. But I did used to do alot of cross-country skiing!

I saw this article today discussing Icefishing and how this group of Fisherman parked on an Inlet to the Lake, then hiked out to the center of Lake for the Fishing, only to return and find another kind of fishing. Glad I don't see any E's:lol:

I LOVE climbing ice! I mean, rock climbing's great, but chunking the 'ol Charlie Hoser axes into the ice, feeling around for a solid bite with my crampons on chandeliered ice, that rush as things start to come apart around you-it's GREAT!:D
And this year with all the snow, the melts, the refreezing...the ice was in the best shape it's been in 5 years!
AND I'M LAID UP WITH F****** TORN QUAD TENDONS!! Took a tumble the end of November, ruptured 3 of the 4 tendons (Ah, THAT's why they call it your quadreceps!) and had to get stitched back together.
My winter fun this year consists of watching my wife shovel the snow because I CAN'T EVEN DO THAT!

The first Tele E er!?? We've got some great multi day backcountry huts here in Co for tele, snowshoeing, AT, or split boarding. Just got my E a week ago, so haven't done anything in the snow with it except drive around in circles to see how fun it was :-) Oh and climb (but not on ice, so wasn't happy about the white stuff coming down... oh and camp! the skylight turns useless pretty quick with inches of snow on it.

Never tried ice climbing, scares me! cold, hanging completely on an axe... even the rope bolted through the ice... but I'm sure some cute girl will change my mind one day; they always make stupid stuff seem totally logical.
