Hey All!

I'm picking up my Tangerine 08 EX4WD (5spd manual) on Saturday :D Looking forward to being in a Honda again. My previous Honda was a Civic DX hatch that I bought new in 90, great little car that I still regret selling back in 94.

Looks like I'm the exact target Honda was looking at when bringing the E to light...umm...at 43 I maybe a bit off their target but I seem to be right at the mean buying age LOL

I did get it for what they designed it after though, I'll be throwing skateboards and longboards in the back to go to events throughout the Province...will also be using it for camping and pulling my teardrop trailer.

I'm a few miles south in the Okanagan. We do have a Kamloops member though, bockoli, who you'll probably hear from.

Have fun in the snow!

Another welcome from a former Edmontonian. I was there in September and didn't see near as many E's as I see out here. Then again there's not that many SUV's there. Everyone seems to drive a sedan or a truck. Someday Edmontonians will wisen up and drive an Element, just as you have. Congrats on your Element.

Your Element is looking good! Orange was my second choice. That snow, the detached garage, all that background is so familiar. It could be by my brother's house -118th/St. Albert trail, or it could be a friends house in Millwoods, then again it could be anywhere. The snow you can keep. One snow a year is enough for this former Edmontonian.

On to the E. You should look at getting your first modification done soon before spring hits. Do a search for 'home depot grill guard' and you will see how we protect our grill from all the rocks. It's really simple and very cheap.
I see you didn't get mudflaps on yours. Mine was trucked in from Medicine Hat and it came with mudflaps and in-car heat -is that what you call the other end of that plug coming out of your grill? Man-oh-man. It's been twenty years since I've lived in Edmonton and I've forgotten all the know-how one needs to strive in the bitter cold.

All my best to you and your Element in Edmonton. It's a great vehicle for that weather especially since it has no carpets.

Yep many area's that look like my neighborhood but I'm on the East end near Beverly. My house looks over Rundle Park (what was once a landfill).

My neighbor has some black mesh that I'll be using to protect the rad and condenser, but I'll look for the home depot guard as well. Mine was supposed to have mud flaps but the dealership neglected to install them...I didn't notice until after the service dept was closed. Yep that's the block heater cord you're seeing.

Thanks, I'm thinking it'll fit my needs quite nicely :D

Hi JamieK

I'll be picking up an EX, likely in the Spring.

How has it been handling for you on these terrible Edmonton roads of ours?

Did you get through with the stock tires or did you upgrade?

Can't wait to get mine!

Hey there C'Whack...I've still got the stock tires on it...no issues at all on our crap roads. As a matter of fact I had to turn off the traction control just to have some fun in the snow

I'm really liking the Element, it drives nice, is very comfortable, easy to pick out in a parking lot, easy to park...I can not get over how much room it has. I'm getting about 9.5L/100km in mixed driving (Yellowhead from Vic Trail to Hwy 60 every day) which is much better that the Cherokee I was commuting in :)

Hope you get yours soon!!
