My neighbor pulled aside to show case his new ride. Very impressed with the Bently GTand $230,00. tag.

But I and my dog much prefer our E

I'll bet he can't fit a big screen tv in that Bently.:)

This man is fortunate enough to also have a Lexus LX in his drive way that can handle his heavy loads.

My pooch and I have enough we can handle with our E

Hmmm, I could think of a lot cooler things to do with $230,000 than buy that car..... E's are way cooler :D

First of all, watch out for loner wolves considering you have a pug...(thread joke). Second, next time you talk to your neighbor tell him you can't believe he spent that much money on a volkswagon .

It's pretty funny that he picked burgandy. I mean, does he also have orange wallpaper and cook everything in the microwave?

If you are in to that sort of thing, a Bently is nice.

Though, I wouldn't want to park it for very long at Sawgrass Mills (http://fort.lauderdale.retailguide.com/data/m100968.htm). Nor would I want to leave it at the airport while I was out of town. Nor would I park it near the beach. I mean, my Miata got its top slashed while parked on A1A (http://www.skypic.com/florida/1-4306.jpg) with the doors unlocked.

A Bently might fit in better on Los Olas (http://www.lasolasboulevard.com/), near where I used to live. Though, you could walk to the Toy Store (http://www.thenewautotoystore.com/showroom.html) and find many similar cars.

You, and your puppy, look good in the Element. I think that you made the better automotive choice.

Best of luck,
Uno

You know its ok to shut the door on you E don't ya?

Try it sometime....cuts down on the ding-ding-ding noise and distracting interior light. :D

For $230,000 he bought a garage queen too. And the depreciation of those things is absolutely incredible. He lost $50,000 just signing on the dotted line!

I was at the Barrett Jackson auction last week and there was a 1996 Bentley Continental R with 5000 miles on it. It still had the $326,000 window sticker in place and it sold for $86,000!
That is a car that wasn't ever driven and all the documents in order.

You can buy the same car your Neighbor did that is a year old for $180,000 all day long.

Baffling.

I dont even think Bentley's are that great.

They are definatly nice, dont get me wrong.

I just think there are much nicer cars for that price.

It must be great just living next door to a guy who can afford a $230,000.00
car. I bet he has good cookouts in the back yard.

Dusty Hill from ZZ Top lives a few blocks form me. I know "of" someone that lives next door to him, he says when Dusty throws a party, he invites the whole block, that way no one calls the cops when the noise gets too loud.

It's tough trying to drag my house a few blocks closer;-)

Here is a hands on review of a Bentley, not sure if this is the same one as to motor, etc., but the writer is excellent, here is an excerpt.

A still better measure is the car's awesome stopping power. From nearly max speed, I went to the brakes almost full force. Many interesting things happened at once. First, my tongue came unraveled and smeared the windshield with saliva. Second, the W12 engine let out a monstrous molten burp of an overrun, and I wouldn't be surprised if gouts of flames spat from the quad exhaust. Third, the 9.5- by 20-inch Pirelli P-Zeros radials put their talons into the asphalt while the car's antilock brake and electronic brake-force distribution systems ciphered frantically to keep the wheels from locking up. Fourth, the car's integrated rear wing flipped up to create an air brake. Before I would have thought mechanically possible, the GT Speed was standing still on the tarmac as a cloud of dust swept up into its draft settling around us.

Consider my dumb thoroughly founded.
