Just curious if anyone out there have Border Collies that they crate in their E.

Yep, mine rides in the back and sometimes has a black BC companion for company...dog of a friend.

Mine is black and white, won't fetch a thing, and does the basics like heel, sit, wait, but if she's off leash and in the greenbelt near my home, she will spend a long time investingating every blade of grass that has been walked on by another dog !

She loves to hike off leash at area resevoirs and in the mountains on trails. If we drop back a bit as she goes around a corner, she comes back on the run to see what happened to the "sheep".

Just re-read your post. I don't crate mine or her friend..they just ride back there. I have driver side rear seat up sideways and they have an "L" shaped area to ride in.

Picture comes later.

Yup, got 3 BC's and they all love the E. When I sold my previous E earlier last year, we made due w/another vehicle. It was just easier and they seemed more comfortable in the E. Great dogs, one from the Humane Society (no question, we saved his neck) and 2 from BC rescue organizations. I've had the new SC for about 3 weeks and they wag all the way to the park twice daily :D. The Dogmobile lives! Regards, Steve

Carving Barn, that's a beautiful, adorable border collie. Is her new home going to be that charming yellow house with a 'cheese barn' (?) next to it? I believe it was you who posted, about to buy a historic home to fix up, a few months back. I haven't heard what's happened with that and do want to know how the reno progresses.

I can't wait to see the pictures. One of my dogs was listed as "Shepherd mix" by the pound. She looks more like a Border Collie though.

His home is going to be a white house in Alabama. I'm not the one that wanted a fixer upper. I already live in one. Always fixing something.

Well I just had to grab my wife to show her the picture. Our Blue Heeler just passed last week and we're down to our 3.5 year old Border Collie. A friend of my wife is a breeder and sheep trial guru and has offered her a pick in her next litter this spring so needless to say she's on top of the world.

I wish I'd been here when that E was sold last summer. I have a post in the Trading Post forum so perhaps someone wants to trade up soon.

I did a lot of searching (about 5 years ago) and found my good friend at a border collie rescue group. She's a great companion and trail mate. Not as cute as that purebred pup up above, but I like her !
