Yesterday I spent 18 hours on the road going to meet Steve W in St Charles for a wheel trade. I got his SC wheels and he took my EX wheels. I must say that as odd as it sounded his SC looks good with the EX wheels, I think having a silver E helps, I don't think this could be pulled off with an RBM.:D

Steve if you read this post a pic!

My E of course looks bitchin'.

I felt bad putting those nice clean wheels on my dirty, salty, muddy E so I washed it.:D

Steve;
Looks great clean w/the wheels. Nice meeting you and Jeremy and glad the trip went well. I'll try to get my son to take and post some pics. Hardest thing was getting my wife to clean up the new-to-me wheels :razz:! They look better clean and match the silver alabaster OK by me. Regards, Steve

Anybody else interested in swapping their SC wheels for my EX wheels?

Thanks for the comments everyone. It's not a groundbreaking mod but it is IMHO one of the best out there.:cool:

I was so tired yesterday I didn't post my observations.

As suspected the ride got a little stiffer, it's not unpleasant at all by any means. I'll have to teach the wife how to avoid potholes and stuff now.:neutral:

The initial steering effort is a little higher. I was a little suprised by this, I figured that the overall width was the same. Maybe it's me.:neutral:

Braking feels like it's a little slow. I anticipated this as well. Having more mass toward the outside of the wheel has increased the effort I have to put in at the pedal. Not that it's bad I just have to adjust my driving style a little.:neutral:

Cornering grip has increased. It feels much more "grounded" with the shorter sidewalls and in turn has increased my confidence when cornering at speed. I don't plan on testing the limits anytime soon.:D

In conclusion, the best 200 bucks and 18 hours I've spent on car toys. I was pleasantly suprised to see that the techs at Wally World automotive actually used torque wrenches to install our wheels instead of running the nuts on with the impact wrench.:-)

Here they are!!!

I got my SC wheels painted in Galaxy Gray and just need to slip on the rubber, TPMS and swap 'em on the car. I am tempted to run the stock GY into the ground first, -- but it is too tempting to put on the SCs...

The SC Wheels on the EX seems like a natural conversion, that gives it a custom look!

Sometimes they're for sale in the trading section and I believe H&A has them (honda-accessories.com).

You could get them from your local dealer too if you want to pay a high price for them. If they'll match what majestichonda.com has them for you'll save a bit.
