I haven't been to this board in ages. This brought me back here...seems the car wash I use put something on my rubber trim that I didn't know about. It must be wax or God forbid Armor All. It's totally white, alllll over it. Like rubbed in, so they must've done it by hand. I can't get it off. Anything at all that can fix this???? I sure hope so. I'm heartbroken. My E is messed up :( I doubt I can go back and do much besides chew them out. No way to prove they did anything wrong. Though I've told them every single time I go, and I only use them, that NEVER use ANYTHING on the rubber. I even make them use my own cloths to wipe it with, usually. Just the last few times I've gotten lax on that.
So, back here on the board for some advice. Missed it, too. So guess one good thing, brought me back here.

Do a small unobtrusive test spot with warm water with a bit of Dawn dish washing liquid soap mixed in to see if that works, with out making it worse. If it is a wax-based product, the Dawn should remove it.
