The Samoyeds' ears have not yet popped up so they are about 9 weeks old. They belonged to a friend of mine who raises them in Maryland (where Discovery Channel is HQ'd).

The terriers (Jack Russell and Westies in particular) seem to be well represented this year.

Funny, this occurs the day we pick up our new Westie. I hope we can get this channel in the motel!

ok--that's hillarious. i never heard of this before! the video made me laugh. The Samoyed puppies are too cute to look at!!! i love how some of the puppies just sit there so unassuming and stare off into space in the middle of the game.

You can buy the previous Puppy Bowls on DVD, direct from Discovery. They are cheap and I've donated several to the hospital pediatric ward Gidget visits.

As a non-dog person friend of mine observed last year after she ended up watching the whole thing: "Puppy Bowl is oddly mesmerizing," even for non-dog peops.

And for us dog-peops, it is a delightful three hours.

I could not care less about the Super Bowl... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!
