The dealer here in my town says that the only blue 5spd 2WD EX in California is in Chico, so she is getting it brought down here (to southern CA) on a flatbed. She said it'll be $200 extra for this. Is that about right? Sounds fair to me, but thought I'd check with the experts. :)

We split the cost with our dealer of getting a SLm EX 5sp shipped from Dallas to Houston and it was about 250 to us. This was back in February, so they were really hard to get then, so we felt it was a good deal.

That was the exact same amount a Dealer was going to charge my girlfriend to have her red '03 Beetle shipped to Denver from Arizona. So it sounds like that's the going rate.

She ended up finding a red one in Denver after all, so didnt get that one.

That sounds relatively cheap to have a vehicle shipped. Most of our trades are driven, but occasionally we have to ship one in from another town like Houston or Dallas. We easily pay $200 for a 4 hour trip.

My motorcylce was shipped from Viginia and cost me $600, but it was defintely worth it and the shipping company really babied my bike.
