Does anyone have any experence with any stereos/receivers that has Bluetooth A2DP profile built-in? I'd like to use my Blackberry to stream music via bluetooth and trying to find one that will accept the A2DP profile and tested with the Blackberry has not been easy. Thanks!

From looking at Pioneer's web site it needs a Bluetooth adaptor to support any BT but it doesn't appear that it supports Bluetooth streaming (A2DP). The iPod adaptor is something different.
Most newer smartphones and PDAs support A2DP (sometimes called stereo Bluetooth) for music streaming.

If you get the CD-BTB200 bluetooth adaptor it does phone as well asA2DP per page 21 of the CD-BTB200 owners manual. And I see Crutchfield is now selling the BT. adaptor as part of a package deal. Drew:)

Thanks, was finally able to get a look at the manual. Thier site was running a bit slow earlier. I'll have to investigate the Avic-D3 further. BTW, how do you like the Avic-D3? Anyone else know of any others available?

I love my D3, in fact I put one in my wife's Odyssey but if you don't need GPS I'm sure there are other stereos available with bluetooth streaming. Drew:)

Before you buy one, test drive it at an electronics store to make sure that your phone is compatable with the head unit. Try to connect it, upload the phone book, and make a call through it. Any reputable stereo shop will not only let you do this, but insist upon it.

Yeah, I noticed that some are not compatable with certain brands of phones. Thanks for the reminder.

Thanks for everyone's advice. I ended up with a Pioneer DEH-P790BT and Focal 165CA1 speakers. Works and sounds great!
